Whisklings Terms of Use

Whisklings is operated by Miltinson Technologies LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("Miltinson," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Whisklings, you agree to these terms.

These Whisklings terms add to the Miltinson Technologies Terms of Use, which cover all of our products. Both apply. Where these Whisklings terms are silent, the shared terms apply; where they differ, these Whisklings terms control for Whisklings. How we handle information is described in the Whisklings Privacy Policy.

1. The parent or guardian is the account holder

• Whisklings accounts are for adults. To create an account you must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of each child you add, and you confirm this when you sign up. This replaces the minimum age in the shared Miltinson terms.
• Children do not have their own accounts or logins. They use Whisklings through the profiles you create, on a device where you are signed in.
• You are responsible for your account and for how your children use Whisklings, including what they cook. Your password also unlocks the Child Profiles page, so keep it private from your children and sign out on shared devices.
• Only add profiles for children in your care. Use a first name or nickname, and choose the age group that fits your child.

2. Recipes require adult supervision

Cooking involves real hazards: knives and graters, hot stovetops, ovens, boiling water, hot oil, blenders and other appliances, and raw ingredients. Every recipe in Whisklings is meant to be made with a responsible adult present and supervising.

• An adult decides which steps a child can do, and handles any step the child cannot do safely. When a step says to ask a grown-up, a grown-up must do it.
• Age groups (4–7, 8–11, 12–14), difficulty levels, and step timers are general guides. They are not a safety assessment of your child, your kitchen, or your equipment. You know your child best.
• Follow basic food safety: wash hands, keep raw meat and eggs apart from ready-to-eat food, and cook food thoroughly.

3. Allergies and dietary needs: not medical advice

• Whisklings does not know about your child's allergies, intolerances, or dietary needs, and does not filter recipes for them.
• Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, sesame, fish, and shellfish. Check every ingredient and product label before cooking.
• Nothing in Whisklings, including ingredient lists and recipe descriptions, is medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Ask a doctor or other qualified professional about your child's specific needs.

4. Our recipes and content

We write the recipes in Whisklings. You may use them for personal, non-commercial cooking at home. You may not copy, republish, or sell them. Whisklings has no user-submitted content, so the user content section of the shared terms does not apply.

5. Using Whisklings

Follow the acceptable use rules in the shared terms. Do not try to access another family's profiles or account, and do not use Whisklings to collect information about other people.

6. Closing your account

You can stop using Whisklings at any time. You can delete child profiles on the Child Profiles page. To delete your account and every child profile on it, email contact@miltinson-technologies.com, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

7. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Whisklings is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. The disclaimers and limitation of liability in the shared terms also apply to Whisklings. You are responsible for supervising your children in the kitchen and for deciding which recipes and steps are safe for them.

8. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute about them will be heard in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington. When we change these terms, we will update the date at the top.
